01|韩国乐天免税店于悉尼开分店

韩国乐天免税店已于5日在澳大利亚悉尼商业区开设分店。这是乐天免税自2020年6月以来首次在海外开设门店。

澳大利亚免税市场疫前的年均市场规模达到1万亿韩元左右,全球免税店之间的竞争很激烈。乐天计划以此次开店为契机发展成为当地规模最大的免税店龙头。

South Korea's Lotte Duty Free opened a store in Australia's Sydney business district on 5 May. This is the first time Lotte Duty Free has opened a store overseas since June 2020.

Before the epidemic, the Australian duty free market was worth about 1 trillion won per year, and competition among duty-free shops around the world was fierce. Lotte plans to become the largest duty-free shop in the new place.
 
02|平安集团进军日本房地产

5月10日,总部设在日本东京涩谷区的Ascot Corp.已透过与全球机构投资者成立合资基金设立了首个私募基金,中国平安保险(集团)股份有限公司、SBI Holdings, Inc.为该公司大股东。Ascot Corp.是平安集团在日本投资的第一家房地产公司。

该基金的投资目标是MF住宅、老人院和学生公寓,地点仅限于东京大都市区,预计将提供稳定的现金流,受新冠疫情影响不大,比较易于卖出,从而实现稳定的投资结果。


02|Ping An Group entering Japanese real estate industry

On 10 May, Ascot Corp., headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, launched its first private equity fund through a joint venture with global institutional investors, Ping An Insurance (Group) Co., LTD., SBI Holdings and Inc. Are its major shareholder. Ascot Corp. is Ping An's first real estate investment in Japan.

The fund's investment targets are MF housing, nursing homes and student apartments, which are located only in the Tokyo metropolitan area and are expected to provide stable cash flow, be less affected by COVID-19 and be relatively easy to sell, thus achieving stable investment results.
 
03|马来西亚Grand Bazaar手工购物中心正式开业

作为是马来西亚第一个手工型购物中心,Grand Bazaar位于吉隆坡武吉斌堂,于3月31日正式开业。

03|Malaysia artisanal mall-Grand Bazaar officially opened

Grand Bazaar, the first artisanal mall in Malaysia, located in Bukit Bintang, locale of Kuala Lumpur, opened on 31 March.

The mall extends over 100,000 square feet and features 200 kiosks with customised and compact retail spaces for local start-ups to showcase their products, as well as artisanal handcrafted items, tradition-inspired creations to authentic local cuisine.

The artisanal mall forms part of the urban regeneration project, Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC), joining other developments — Lucentia Serviced Residences, The Stride strata office and Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport, in the BBCC.

04|GPT results demonstrate resilience as the Group unlocks mixed-use opportunities

The GPT Group held its 2022 Annual General Meeting recently and announced its operational update for the quarter ended 31 March 2022. Retail portfolio occupancy was 99.2% with solid leasing enquiry translating to 231 lease deals during the quarter. Despite the challenging year occupancy is above 99%, which demonstrates the resilience and quality of its assets.

GPT’s CEO, Bob Johnston, said: “We have seen a strong recovery in sales over the last two months following the shadow lockdown from Omicron in January. March sales across our portfolio were generally well above 2019 levels. Melbourne Central which prior to COVID was the most productive shopping centre in the country, is lagging in its recovery due to the slow return of workers to the CBD.”
 
05|英国中洛锡安郡将建价值1380万英镑新滑雪胜地

位于英国苏格兰、毗邻首府爱丁堡的中洛锡安郡(Midlothian)已批准在当地建设一个新度假胜地Destination Hillend。这是一个全季节滑雪休闲度假胜地,计划投资1380万英镑。该项目将重新开发和扩展Hillend郊野公园的Midlothian Snowsport中心。

05|A new £13.8 million ski resort to be built in Midlothian

The Scottish county of Midlothian, near Edinburgh, has approved the construction of a new resort, Destination Hillend. It is an all-season ski resort with a planned investment of £13.8 million. The project will redevelop and extend the Midlothian Snowsport centre in Hillend Country Park.

If approved, it will have the tallest  strop and longest rollercoaster in the UK. There will also be infrastructure upgrades, hotels, luxury campsites, retailing and food courts. The project is intended to attract families from all over the UK.

01|Moncler未来三年将至少新开150家门店

Italian fashion group Moncler has announced plans to open at least 150 new stores and further boost online sales over the next 3 years.

Moncler also plans to strengthen its supply chain by acquiring specialty shoe manufacturers and craft workshops to accelerate the expansion of its shoe line, especially athletic footwear. The group believes that consumer demand for Moncler shoes is growing rapidly, but is still well below its true potential.

03|Paris fragrance brand Diptyque opened the world's largest flagship store in Seoul

Paris-based fragrance brand Diptyque has partnered with Shinsegae International, a local retail wholesaler, to open the world's largest flagship store in Seoul.

In addition to the packaging service area, the full range of perfumes and scented candles will be displayed in the retail space of no less than 260 square metres. On the first floor, you'll find a variety of experience spaces, including dining room, kitchen, laundry, living room and bathroom.

据悉,丹麦时尚零售商Bestseller绫致集团将于7月31日前关闭旗下时装品牌SELECTED在中国的所有线下零售店铺,以将资源更多地投入到适应未来市场的品牌和渠道。

Danish fashion retailer Bestseller has announced that it will close its SELECTED stores in China by 31 July to focus more on brands and channels suitable for the future market.

SELECTED entered China in 2008 and currently has 1300 stores in China. Founded in 1975, Bestseller is one of the largest fashion groups in Europe. Currently holding SELECTED, bestseller Group owns more than 20 brands including JACK & JONES, Vero Moda, ONLY, Vila and JunnaRose.

07|GUCCI has teamed up with Italian design school Polimoda to create a master's program

Polimoda, a private design school in Florence, Italy, is teaming up with GUCCI to create a new masters programme, debuting in the autumn, which reflects the evolution of consumer shopping habits and an omni-channel strategy that combines physical retail with online operations.

The nine-month academic programme will be divided into 4 learning blocks covering topics ranging from the state of the luxury fashion industry to retail management in an omnichannel environment and store concepts. At the end of the course, students will also have the opportunity to intern and work at Kering's luxury brands.
 
08|一季度销售额182亿,花王仍要涨价

5月11日,日本花王集团公布了2022年第一季度截至3月31日的三个月的业绩。财报显示,花王第一季度净销售额为182.45亿元,同比增长8.2%;营业利润为12.12亿元,同比下滑25.8%;净收入为9.89亿元,同比下滑28.4%。

财报指出,虽然随着各国、各地区逐渐走向经济正常化,但花王的消费品业务仍然受到原材料涨价、美国物流中断、日本国内受新冠病毒变种影响市场复苏缓慢等因素的影响。


08|Kao to rise prices with 18.2 billion yuan sales in Q1

On 11 May, Japan's Kao Group announced its results for Q1 of 2022 for the three months ended 31 March. According to the financial results, Kao's net sales in QQ1 were 18.245 billion yuan, up 8.2% y-o-y; Operating profit was 1.212 billion yuan, down 25.8% y-o-y; Net income was 989 million yuan, down 28.4% y-o-y.

According to the earnings report, Kao's consumer goods business is still affected by the rising price of raw materials, the disruption of logistics in the US, and the slow recovery of the Japanese market due to the epidemic.

James Reinhart, CEO and co-founder of ThredUp, said the platform will grow further in the resale market as consumers become more aware of sustainability, with an estimated full-year revenue of $315 million to $325 million.

05|Revlon's financial performance improved in Q1

Revlon Group announced net sales of $479.6 million for Q1 of 2022 (ended 31 March, 2022), an increase of 7.8% compared to the same period last year. Operating income for the reporting period was $23.7 million, compared to an operating loss of $12.7 million for the same period last year.

In terms of segments, Revlon's four main business divisions are Revlon, Elizabeth Arden, brand investments and perfumes.
 
06|去年全球奢侈品牌55%的新增门店在中国

据英国房地产服务商Savills第一太平戴维斯的数据显示,2021年全球55%的奢侈品牌新门店开设在中国,目的是为了把握住因疫情而无法进行国际旅行的中国消费者。不过Savills亚洲区零售总管Nick Bradstreet坦承,随着中国疫情反复,奢侈品牌今年将调整扩张战略,上半年在中国的新增门店数量将大幅减少。


06|55% of new stores for global luxury brands were in China in 2021

On 8 May, L 'Oreal group announced that it will set up its first investment company in the Chinese market, Shanghai Meiji Investment Co., LTD., in Fengxian District, Shanghai. Supported by it strategic innovation venture capital fund BOLD, L 'Oreal will focus on the investment of beauty start-up brands, breakthrough technology projects and enterprises with potential in new beauty technology services.
